9.8 Suffixes on Feminine Nouns

When a feminine singular noun ending in ה ָ receives a pronominal suffix, the ה is replaced by ת.

  • “His Torah” would be תּוֹרָתוֹ
    • This is known as the “FS T-form”
  • Unlike Masculine plural nouns, which drop the MP ending, feminine plural nouns retain the FP ending
    • “His Torahs” would be תּוֹרוֹתָיו

In other words, if you see a ת immediately before a type 1 or type 2 suffix on a noun, the noun is feminine
